Ingmar De Vos, the only candidate for the presidency of ASOIF

Ingmar De Vos, member of the Council of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF), member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and president of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), will be the sole candidate for the presidency of ASOIF.

The election of the president will take place during the 48th ASOIF General Assembly on April 9 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The current president, Francesco Ricci Bitti, will end his term at the end of 2024.

De Vos, who has been President of the FEI since 2014, member of the ASOIF Council since 2019 and member of the IOC since 2017, is very active in several sporting organisations. He is part of the Executive Committee of SportAccord, is a representative on the Executive Committee of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Belgian Olympic Committee.

Additionally, De Vos is a United Nations International Gender Champion.

The 48th ASOIF General Assembly will be held in parallel with the SportAccord Global Sport and Business Summit in Birmingham, from 7 to 11 April.
