The athletes who have asked the IOC to change their nationality before the Paris 2024 Olympics

During the first day of the meeting that is being held these days at the Olympic House in Lausanne (Switzerland), the executive management of the International Olympic Committee has accepted seven applications from athletes who wish to change their sporting nationality to compete, in accordance with Rule 41 of the Olympic Charter.

The seven athletes are aiming to qualify and be present at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, whose historic opening is on July 26. The list of athletes is as follows:

  • Chahrazed Ayachi – Fight – from France to Tunisia
  • Anastasiia Kirpichnikova – Swimming – from Russia to France
  • Aleksandr Komarov – Fight – from Russia to Serbia
  • Rachel Neylan – Cycling – from Australia to Ireland
  • Lisa Pou – Swimming – from France to Monaco
  • Levenia Sim – Swimming – from USA to Singapore
  • Ingrid Simão Souto Maior – Gymnastics – from Brazil to Portugal
