Barcelona has been the epicenter of professional padel with the successful celebration of the first Padel World Summit (PWS), which concludes today at the Gran Via venue with a total of 5,838 attendees. The event, organized by Fira de Barcelona and the International Padel Cluster, has established itself as a key gathering for industry professionals, bringing together 120 companies from 22 countries and nearly a hundred speakers of the highest level.
Over the course of three days, the PWS has boosted business opportunities offered by a sport in full global expansion, facilitating key connections between manufacturers, equipment brands, club managers, and sports facility operators. With 40% international attendance, the event saw a strong presence of professionals from 80 countries, particularly from the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, and the United States.
Activations, innovation, and a forward-looking vision for padel
Dynamism was one of the event’s major strengths, with numerous activities promoted by exhibiting brands to showcase their latest innovations. Among the highlights were the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Babolat, the launch of new courts by AFP Courts and Greenset, and promotional actions by renowned brands such as Head, Joma, Playtomic, and Padel Nuestro. The eight courts set up in Pavilion 6 were key to these demonstrations, turning the venue into a true showcase of technology and design applied to padel.
In terms of content, the Padel Global Conference emerged as a cornerstone of the event, bringing together international experts such as Fernando Belasteguín, Sebastian Gordon, and Ana Gómez. Additionally, spaces like the Innovation Arena —featuring 20 startups— and the Investor & Business Forum —with over 275 meetings— reinforced the forward-thinking focus of the PWS. With these foundations, the organization is already looking ahead to its next edition, scheduled for May 26–28, 2026, once again at Fira de Barcelona.
