The UCI Adjusts Regulations to Prioritize Cyclists’ Health
The main decision adopted by the UCI is to relax the rules governing feeding and hydration during the competition. On an exceptional basis, teams will be allowed to use musette bags in areas that were originally reserved exclusively for water bottle distribution within designated mountain passes. This modification will allow support staff to provide multiple bottles and other hydration and nutrition supplies to each rider at the same time, enabling a more efficient response to high temperatures.
The measure reflects how professional cycling continues to adapt to an increasingly challenging climate environment.
