The Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics are seeking volunteers, and the recruitment process is now underway under the “We are the Games” campaign. This initiative aims to bring together people from around the world to join “Team26“, the volunteer group that will help organize this major sporting event. Becoming a volunteer is a unique opportunity, offering the chance to experience the excitement of the games up close and play a key role in their success.
The registration process started in September 2024, and the selected volunteers will be announced in February 2025. To be part of Team26, volunteers must meet certain requirements: be over 18 years old, be available for training in the summer of 2025, and have a basic knowledge of English or Italian. In addition, volunteers must be available for nine non-consecutive days, both for the Olympic Games, which will take place from February 6 to 22, and for the Paralympic Games, which will be held from March 6 to 15.

One of the major innovations of this program is its inclusive focus. Team26 is open to people of all ages, genders, and cultures, and will also welcome volunteers with disabilities. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to choose which Olympic venue they would like to work at, allowing each volunteer to personalize their experience.
Renowned Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner, the world’s number one, has been named the official ambassador of the campaign. As a former elite alpine skier, Sinner represents Italy’s sporting tradition and is a key figure in promoting the program. His involvement reinforces the spirit of the games and the call to join this major global sporting event.
Being part of Team26 is not only an opportunity to experience the games from the inside, but also to contribute to the success of one of the most important sporting events in the world.
