Chile will host a significant event in junior tennis, as Santiago will be the venue for the 2025 Junior Davis Cup and Junior Billie Jean King Cup finals. The finals will be held from November 3 to 9, 2025, at two key venues in the city: Club Manquehue and Estadio Nacional. This will mark the return of these competitions to South America after 24 years, as Santiago hosted the event in 2001, when Chile won the Junior Davis Cup title in a historic victory over Germany.

The Junior Davis Cup and Junior Billie Jean King Cup finals bring together the best male and female teams under the age of 16 from around the world. National teams compete in regional qualifying events before reaching the final stage, where 16 teams will battle for the title in each category. As the host country, Chile will have an automatically qualified team, providing a great opportunity for Chilean tennis. Additionally, the Junior Davis Cup and Junior Billie Jean King Cup have served as stepping stones for many players who later reached the top of the sport, such as Rafael Nadal, Ashleigh Barty, Iga Swiatek, and Carlos Alcaraz, among others.

A world-class event for global tennis

The organization of this event in Santiago is not only a significant achievement for Chile, but also highlights the growth and strengthening of the Federation of Chilean Tennis (Fetech), which has worked tirelessly on the development of junior tennis in the country. The president of the ITF, David Haggerty, expressed his excitement about the return of the finals to Santiago, emphasizing that the city will offer competitors a unique experience both on and off the court. On the other hand, the president of the Federation of Chilean Tennis, Sergio Elías, expressed the pride of hosting such a high-level event, highlighting the importance of collaboration with institutions such as the Ministry of Sports, the Government of Santiago, Club Manquehue, and Estadio Nacional to make this milestone a reality.

The Junior Davis Cup and Junior Billie Jean King Cup finals are not only a sports spectacle but also an opportunity to further strengthen tennis in Chile, inspiring future generations of tennis players to follow in the footsteps of great international tennis figures. This event will be a true celebration of sports in the country, with young talents from all over the world competing in one of South America’s most vibrant cities.
