The LA28 Games are strategically integrating athletes into daily business operations through the LA28 Olympian and ParalympianFellowship program, marking the first time an Organizing Committee has provided meaningful professional development opportunities and life-changing experiences for retired athletes. Since its launch in 2021, the program has included 21 Olympians and Paralympians representing 14 sports, 10 nations, and a combined 13 medals.

LA28 is collaborating with retired Olympians and Paralympians to amplify athlete voices and enhance career opportunities within the sports business industry. The LA28 Olympian and Paralympian Fellowship program offers retired athletes two six-month rotations within LA28’s operational teams, allowing them to gain hands-on experience and expand their networks after their professional athleticcareers.

LA28 ATHLETES

LA28 welcomes seven Olympians to its fellowship program, including Tracy Eisser (rowing), Scott Burcham (baseball), Mariah Bell (figure skating), Jess Parratto (diving), Giancarla Trevisan (track and field), Anicka Delgado (swimming), and Lauren Doyle (rugby). Additionally, Olympic gymnast and Athlete Commission member Nastia Liukin joins as a new ambassador for the upcoming year.

The LA28 Fellowship Program is breaking new ground by integrating athletes into daily business operations. For the first time, an Organizing Committee is creating significant professional development opportunities while enabling retired athletes to make a lasting impact.
