The Palace of Versailles in France is finalizing preparations to host the equestrian competitions of the 2024 Olympic Games. Important refurbishment works are being carried out, such as the installation of cross country tracks and grandstands, to be ready to receive the best riders in the world. These efforts demonstrate the commitment of the organizers to offer an exceptional setting for the practice of this sport.

On the other hand, The Royal Spanish Equestrian Federation (RFHE) has published the first list of riders eligible to represent Spain in the next Olympic Games in Paris 2024. However, this list has generated some controversy, since some riders and horsewomen with better international results have not been included. The RFHE has confirmed that the list remains open to change throughout the season, suggesting that there are still opportunities for other athletes to be part of the Spanish Olympic team.

It should be noted that the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games will be the last edition that will include horse riding as part of the Modern Pentathlon. Starting in 2025, the discipline with horses will be eliminated and replaced by a race with obstacles, seeking a more agile competition in line with current times. This change reflects the constant evolution of Olympic sports and the need to adapt to the preferences and trends of spectators and athletes.
