Despite the great performances in Paris, which ended with the gold medals for the Japanese Ami in women and the Canadian Phil Wizard in men, the popular approval was not entirely positive. The viralization of the presentation of the Australian Raygun, who received zero points from the judges, did not help the climate around this sport either.

For Los Angeles 2028, the new sports that will be within the Olympic program were announced. Despite its American origin, breaking will not be in the next event, as will disciplines such as lacrosse or others that will debut such as squash and flag football.

Official confirmation from the organization of LA28 is missing, but it seems that, for now, the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires 2018 and Paris 2024 were the debut and farewell of breaking.
