The international Kudo conference held in Ho Chi Minh City last week brought together 100 participants from nations such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Core a, China, Hong Kong and Pakistan. Organized thanks to the support of the Vietnamese city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event was led by renowned Japanese masters Grandmaster Osada Kenichi Sensei and Nakamura Tomohiro Sensei who shared valuable teachings on the techniques and philosophy behind this martial discipline.

TRAINING FOR REFEREES

An essential part of this event was the referee training focused on raising the level of Kudo refereeing. Delegates from all participating countries were present at these sessions and it is hoped that this will both improve the quality of the competitions and ensure a better experience for all athletes. A ribbon promotion exam was also held during the seminar.

The event had special significance for Vietnam as the host country as it was crowned by a historic achievement: seven Vietnamese instructors attained their Kudo black belts. This milestone represents the advancement of Kudo in Vietnam and confirms its position as an emerging force in this discipline.
