The Organizing Committee for the French Alps 2030 Winter Olympic Games presented its first report to the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Costa Navarino, Greece. SOLIDEO, the authority responsible for infrastructure projects, was recently created with Damien Robert as its Director General. The Organizing Committee will focus on developing a clear vision, a communication strategy, and a master plan for the Games, as well as finalizing the sports program and venue plan.

The Committee has also begun discussions with potential marketing partners and is preparing for the handover ceremony and observer program at Milano Cortina 2026. These efforts reflect France’s commitment to a sustainable and efficient approach to organizing the Games, leveraging experience gained from previous events like the Paris 2024 Olympics. The creation of SOLIDEO and the establishment of strong governance mechanisms are crucial steps toward delivering an event that not only meets Olympic standards but also contributes positively to regional development.
