Yusuff Dikec, a Turkish Olympic shooter who has won a silver medal at Paris 2024 Olympics, has gone viraal on social media, like Kim Yeji, for his attitude to the competition and social media has exploded. Dikec appeared at his competition with his hand in his pocket and without any optical gadgets that his rivals were carrying in the 10m air pistol mixed team event.

Most Olympic shooters wear special ear protection and glasses to block vision in one eye and reduce glare, but Dikec needed none of that and took, along with fellow Sevval shooter Ilayda Tarhan, silver at this year’s Paris 2024 Olympics.
A LOT OF WORK BEHIND THAT NONCHALANCE
Dikec is taking part in his fifth Olympic Games after 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020 and also holds several world and European championships.
He is also a retired non-commissioned officer in the Turkish Gendarmerie, “I am a natural, a natural marksman”, he told Turkish media, making it clear that “success does not come with your hands in your pockets”.
