On October 4, 2024, in Bhubaneswar, India, a historic feat was achieved in the world of volleyball. During the KISS Volleyball Foundation Festival, organized in collaboration with the FIVB Volleyball Foundation, KIIT, and KISS, a new Guinness World Record was set by bringing together 430 players in a single indoor volleyball exhibition match. This event not only stood out for its scale but also for surpassing the previous record set in France in 2011, where 294 players participated in a similar match.
The thrilling 8-hour match ended with a final score of 736 – 756, with the champion teams of the Brahmaputra Volleyball League also taking part in this historic achievement. The event not only broke a world record but also served as a gathering point for more than 40,000 attendees, including 5,000 young volleyball fans.
